Surveyor library catalog

If you’ve visited the library website recently, you may have noticed that Surveyor, formerly our beta catalog, has gone live. It is now the default catalog if you select the Library Catalog link. (The old catalog is labeled Classic Catalog and can still be accessed under Search on the website.)

Surveyor defaults to a basic search, with a single search box. For more control, or to combine multiple search terms, click on the Advanced option.

Please contact the library if you need assistance locating materials via the new catalog.

Oxford Handbook of Positive Psychology

The Virginia Campus Library has a new reference work — the second edition of the Oxford Handbook of Positive Psychology, which was published this year. Although it cannot be checked out, you can browse this hefty volume that’s currently displayed in the Reference section of the library.

New APA Manual

As some of you may have heard, the recently published sixth edition of the APA Publication Manual has errors. If you have a copy of the Manual from the first printing, you can access the corrections via: http://www.apastyle.org/

The library will be replacing its copies of the 6th Ed. Manual soon!

The Virginia Campus Library is hosting an Edgar Allan Poe Trivia Contest! Stop by the library to pick up your quiz form.
